It has grown exceptionally well this season. I’ve had an abundance of roses, tomatoes, green beans, green onions, rosemary, thyme, oregano, carrots, and soon potatoes, more tomatoes, and peppers. It has been beautiful to look at, lovely, albeit I’ve been bit almost to death by mosquitos, to care for, and has provided such an abundance for a 6 x 8 space that all total cost $150.00 to grow. p.s. Yes, I grow my lovely roses in 5 gallon pails for a couple of reasons. One, by year two they will have almost outgrow the 5 gallon and need to be planted permanently. By that year, 2026, if we have not found out permanent home, I will assess their root growth. By year three they should have outgrown their 5 gallon pails and will either have to be planted in the ground or given away to someone that can plant them in their own garden. We are working hard at making plans to move ASAP. Having them in 5 gallon pails makes them easy to move around on our deck or by our front door as needed as well as make them easy to transport. Until next time, 🐝 well.
